Assesses direct measurement of both intra- and extracellular nutrient status of common vitamins, minerals, co-factors, amino acids, essential fatty acids, and more.
This test requires a blood draw either at a blood draw center or with a mobile phlebotomist

What is the difference between extra- and intracellular micronutrient testing?
Extracellular micronutrients = short-term status
Measures what is free floating in the blood (outside of cells) at any given time
Dependent on recent intake of supplements or diet
Helps to identify over-supplementation
Intracellular micronutrients = long-term status (4-6 months)
Measures what is absorbed by the white blood cells and red blood cells
Absorbing micronutrients into the cells is important for maintaining optimal functioning of our cells
Helps to adjust diet and supplement dosages & recommendations
Helps to identify deficiencies of various cofactors needed for nutrient absorption
Who would benefit from this test?
If you are diagnosed with or suspect you have a chronic inflammatory condition, autoimmune disease (Celiac, Crohn’s, etc.), or any condition associated with nutrient malabsorption, you may benefit from this panel.
What are symptoms of micronutrient deficiencies?
Stress
Fatigue
Depression or anxiety
Skin problems
Numbness or tingling in extremities
Weakened immune system
Lack of concentration/brain fog
Fluctuating weight
Neurological symptoms (impaired memory, confusion, ataxia, loss of balance, tremors)
Stubborn weight gain
Sudden, unexplained weight loss
Digestive abnormalities: diarrhea, constipation, excessive bloating
Why is testing for micronutrient deficiencies important?
Over 2 billion people suffer from micronutrient deficiencies in the world
Micronutrients play a vital role in energy production, production of hemoglobin, bone health, immune function, and protection against oxidative stress and cellular damage
Micronutrient deficiencies can be a sign of chronic inflammation which is associated with heart disease, diabetes, cancer, arthritis, Chron’s disease, and ulcerative colitis
Assessing nutrient absorption at both the extra- and intracellular levels is a great way to uncover causes of malnutrition and inflammation
Looking at nutrient absorption can help differentiate between dietary, genetic, and other factors that impair nutrient utilization/absorption
Identifying micronutrient deficiencies is an easy way to address chronic conditions
