FAQ
-
How many appointments do I need?
Each patient has a unique history & different health goals, which impacts the number of appointments required and the length of treatment time. This duration may range from a few months to a year, depending on individual circumstances and goals.
After doing a deep dive, some patients wish to check in periodically to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
-
Are supplements included in the appointment fee?
No, supplements are not included in the appointment prices. We have partnered with Fullscript to offer a wide selection of hand-picked, phamaceutical-grade supplements. All of our patients receive a 15% discount on Fullscript’s products. Your provider will discuss which supplements are best for you.
-
Are functional lab tests included in the appointment fee?
No, functional labs are not included in the appointment prices. With that being said, we do not upcharge for functional labs and testing. You will receive the tests at practitioner cost.
-
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, we do not participate with any insurance carriers. All appointments are on a self-pay, fee-for-service basis. We are not able to submit medical claims on your behalf. However, we can provide you with a superbill/invoice, and some labs can be run through your insurance. We also accept HSA/FSA cards as payment for all appointments & testing.
-
Will my insurance cover the cost of my lab tests?
For bloodwork, you have a few options:
1. If your insurance covers Quest Diagnostics, your labs may be ran through insurance
2. Use of a discounted cash pay lab
3. Laboratory testing through another provider that may be eligible for insurance coverage
Depending on what testing is ordered, we may be able to provide you with a superbill that you can try to submit to your insurance, for reimbursement. Some laboratory tests may qualify for FSA or HSA reimbursement, however we are unable to determine coverage prior to this submission.
Align does offer labs & testing at the provider-price in an attempt to minimize cost for patients.
-
Can you be my PCP (Primary Care Provider)?
No, we are not able to serve as your Primary Care Provider.
We are a functional medicine clinic and will work alongside your PCP and other specilaists. We do not provide acute care services and require all patients to have a separate PCP on file.
-
How do I schedule follow up appointments?
Patients can schedule follow ups in their patient portal (Practice Better).
-
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand appointments may need to be cancelled or rescheduled.
We require a 2 business day notice via our online patient portal messaging system (PracticeBetter) for cancellation or reschedule. Without this notice, patients will be charged a $100 fee.
